Wise words indeed, and seeing how heated blogging can get I thought I'd detract from the overall controversy by starting a humble hobby based blog to share my personal obsessions with other hobbyists. As self-indulgent as this might appear it's more keeping pace with everyone else but without the chore of running a "proper" website.

Having been an amateur historian and keen wargamer since the seventies I've been impressed with how well the web serves folk with shared interests. No longer is there a minority interest with individuals living in isolation with only the odd rare sight of kinship on the horizon.

Earlier this evening I've been discussing historical points with a range of nationalities over at the excellent U.S. based World War Two forums, wondering if the beautiful New Zealand creation 6mm Wargaming has run out of steam, and inwardly seething at the continued insistence of the bastion of gaming to continue developing it's own forum application which has as much functionality as a stone balanced on a watery surface.

I'll be sharing pictures of models and games in 6mm, reviews of books and other gems I stumble across. So welcome to Six Mil Phil, if you don't enjoy your visit I'll give you your money back.
